Description
Yzerfontein is a small, tranqual sea-side village 80km from Cape Town. Travel on the R27 from Cape Town and turn off to Yzerfontein on the R315.
It has excellent guest house accommodation and an internationally renowned open-air restaurant as well as a la carte restaurants. The attractions are eco-tourism based and include spring wild flowers, Southern Right and Humpback whales, countless bird, animal and plant species, fish[especially snoek], crayfish, perlemeon, and an extensive unspoilt coastline with both rocky and sandy beaches including the famous sixteen mile beach. Yzerfontein is an pilot Blue Flag Beach.
